  1. Consider every topic that we have surveyed this year.
  2. Select one in which you were most interested.
  3. Design a mini lab procedure investigating a real-world issue or question related to this topic.
  4. Your mini lab procedure should include the following:
    1. Title
    2. Objective
    3. Materials
    4. Procedure
    5. An explanation of what one should find while performing this procedure.
    6. Three questions to the student/researcher about what they found.
    7. Your signature and date at the bottom of the lab notebook entry.
  5. The entire mini lab procedure should be in your lab notebook in black/dark blue ink pen.
  6. Submit your mini lab procedure by May 18th, 2018 at 3:40PM, no later than that.

*You will be graded on a 0-4 point scale for this mini lab procedure.

*Your grade will replace your lowest lab grade in the class (including zeros).

*Your grading rubric is presented below:

4 - Mini lab procedure was designed following every instruction down to the letter.

3 - Mini lab procedure was designed following most of the instructions down to the letter.

2 - Mini lab procedure was designed following only half of the teacher's instructions.

1 - Mini lab procedure was designed improperly and/or obviously thrown together at the last minute.

0 - Mini lab procedure was designed by simply copying another's work, and/or without following most of the teacher's instructions.



Write Content Songs
Due Date: 5/11/2018
Subject: Environmental Science
  1. Consider every topic that we have surveyed this year, preferably the one you struggled with the most.
  2. Select one in which you were most interested.
  3. Write a song discussing the information in this topic.
  4. Your content song should include the following:
    1. Title
    2. Objective
    3. At least one verse with a hook
    4. Details about the content included in each verse
  5. The entire content song should be typed or handwritten.
  6. Your name, date, and period, should be in the top, right-hand corner of the paper.
  7. Submit your content song by May 18th, 2018 at 3:40PM, no later than that.

*You will be graded on a 0-4 point scale for this content song

*Your grade will replace the quiz grade you made for that topic when we initially took the quiz.

Due Date: 3/30/2018
Subject: Environmental Science
  1. Visit a renowned news website (New York Times, CNN, USA Today, etc)

  2. Choose an article discussing how the White House is dealing with environmental and/or climate issues.

  3. Read the article

  4. Construct a one-page review on the article discussing what the issue was, when did it come about, why it is relevant to our class studies, and how could the issue be resolved based on what you have learned in our class.

  5. Turn in your paper with your article printed and attached by the due date indiated.
