PSAT/NMSQT: Practice SAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test

Each year, all 10th grade CHHS students take the PSAT.  In the 11th grade, if a student chooses to take this test, they will be enrolled in the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Program.  Students who perform well on the exam may become a finalist in this scholarship program.  In addition to being the qualifying test for the National Merit Program, the PSAT is an official practice exam for the SAT.

  • The exam will take place Wednesday, October 11, 2017

  • The exam consists of questions that appeared on past SAT tests and includes questions in Critical Reading, Math, and Writing Skills.

  • The cost for the PSAT/NMSQT is $15.00; however, we do have a limited number of fee waivers available.  Fee waivers will be awarded to qualifying students on a first come first served basis.  (Money is due when students sign up for this test: before Oct. 3)

  • More information about the PSAT/NMSQT is available at www.collegeboard.com.
