This page pertains to ALL sports.

ALL SPORTS SEASON PASS:  This year we are offering a pass to all home sporting events for $85.  If you would like to purchase a season pass please come by the main office between 9:00-4:00. You can now buy online with your credit card or in the main office.

All students who participate in sports MUST be eligible through the standards of the Georgia High School Association, have a current physical, and agree to random drug testing.

To be eligible students must have passed 2.5 carnegie units the semester prior to the sport they are trying out for as well as maintain the proper number of credits.  With our year long schedule in place a student must be passing 5 out of the 8 classes at the end of December to remain eligible and at the end of the year to be eligible for the next year. A student may gain eligibility also by passing 5 out of 8 class at the end of December and being on tract.  All first time ninth grade students are automatically eligible at the beginning of the year until December. A second year high school student must have at least 5 credits, a third year student must have at least 11 credits, and a fourth year student must have at least 17 credits to be eligible.

All students trying out for any sport MUST have a current physical on file with the school.  Physicals are good for one calendar year.  The form to use for physicals may be picked up at the school or can be found on the County web page or you can print one from the forms section here on my web page.

Each student athlete will also be offered Student Insurance through Enroll Online.  The school is not responsible for injuries during athletics.  If you would like to purchase insurance for your student athlete please go to or you can print a form from the forms section of this web page.

Also, the Board of Education has implemented a policy that requires all students participating in extra curricular activities to submit to a random drug test.  For more information go to the Douglas County web page under policies.  Coaches will give all athletes a form for drug testing and it will be kept on file in the office.  No athlete can participate without signing the random drug testing agreement. Form can be found here under forms.

The Georgia High School Association has also issued a sportsmanship clause that stresses that all spectators and participants of any athletic event provide a positive atmosphere for all in attendance.  Please remember that we honor this clause at all our competitions and we ask that you cheer on our Panthers in a positive and encouraging manner.  We will also ask that every parent sign a parent code of conduct that states you will act in a positive and supportive manner at all sporting events or you might be asked to leave by one of our administrators on duty.

The Georgia High School Association has also issued a mandatory concussion awareness policy.  Every parent of every athlete will be given a form with information about concussions.  Parents will be asked to sign a copy and return to their coach.  All coaches have taken a course sponsored by the GHSA on concussion awareness.  A copy of the form can be found under forms.

The GHSA and Douglas County have also established guidelines for participating in extreme heat.  Those guidelines are also given to the parents to be signed and returned to the coach.  Those guidelines can be found under the forms as well.

We begin the 2017-18 school year continuing with our same classification and region as last year.  We are Region 5 AAAA. Our region opponents are Cedartown, Cartersville, Central Carrollton, LaGrange, Sandy Creek and Troup High School.  We look forward to competition with these schools.  Last year we were very successful in this region as we brought home our first ever STATE CHAMPIONSHIP in girls track and region championships in softball and girls track.  We look forward to another year of great success.
